Welcome to UABC Radio.

 UABC Radio communicates with the university community. It is a radio station that speaks to the listener as equals; offers simple, smart, entertaining and important content and capable of generating the powerful empathy that gives a sense of belonging and ownership to the student.

To be the alternative media space to "reflect aloud." To make the university community the ones who consume and nurture the radio programming content. UABC Radio is the communication method in which they identify and to which they want to belong.

The UABC Radio’s music program presents contemporary genres. It focus on covering emerging proposals that are part of creating needed trends to help raise the character of a contemporary university community.
UABC delimits its music program on a temporary basis, not a genre. The genres proposed are: rock, pop, reggae, jazz, Latin American music, ethnic music, electronic music, trova, formal music and world music.

Monday - Friday 10:00 to 12:00 hrs, 16:00 to 18:00, 20:00 to 21:00, 0:00 to 6:00 (Pacific time)

UABC Radio discuss current issues with the university vision such as the environment, economic development, the construction of a new citizenship and uses of public space, migration and violence through a local news agenda with deep and global treatment. The information is presented in different journalistic genres.

UABC Radio allows the diffusion of aesthetic expressions from the cultural heritage perspective and from the viewpoint of symbolic culture. Therefore, UABC radio allows fine arts expressions, cultural practices and symbolic forms of nowadays society and close geographic surroundings.

The academic output of teachers, researchers and students from UABC communicate through journalistic formats and other entertainment and education genres with the social relevance represented. UABC Radio helps the listener to understand the usefulness of research and its results to solve everyday problems.
