The playlist from Friday, September 14th is, as always, a mosaic of different beats and rhythms from around the world. We listen to Chilanga Banda first, by the musician, Jaime Lopez from Tamaulipas, but performed by Cuidad Satelite in Naucalpan, Mexico, Cafe Tacuba. After, we presented the song Que te vaya bien, by the fusion music group from Tijuana: Saoko. Next, we gave a hearing to Sarawasti by the band Autorickshaw, a band that combines modern Indian music with traditional music.
From Tijuana to Venezuela in less than two seconds with the song: Detrás de tu sombra by Cheo Hurtado, a Venezuelan musician player of stringed instruments such as the bandola, tiple, tres, and mandolin. After Cheo, we enjoyed the African influence in Puerto Rican music with the song Sueño de by the band Paracumbé.
Then we were pleased with Latin and African music such as the song; Rumba a la vida del cubano by Roberto Faz, interpreter of various tropical music genres and as guarachas boleros and danzonetes. Also from Cuba, we danced with Cucuruchu de maní by Eliades Ochoa, a Cuban singer and guitar player born in Loma de la Avispa, on the east, near to Santiago de Cuba, on June 22th, 1946.
To give this morning a different rhythm, we presented El son sin fin by the sones jarochos music group; Los cojolites. Then we listened José Curbelo, a Cuban pianist and orchestra conductor. Then we visited Brazil while we listen to Caetano Veloso, a famous Brazilian musician. Veloso has been called one of the best songwriters of the 21st century.
Mariza from Portugal was next. Mariza is a fado singer, a music genre that expresses the moments of life through the singing and performance of the Portuguese guitar and viola.
We finish this week accompanied by three great musicians: the Colombian musician Carlos Vives, singer of vallenato, cumbia, porro, champeta, rock, Latin pop and bambuco genres. Ray Barreto, a percussionist and Latin jazz performer born in New York. And Victa performed by the talented bass player Victor Wooten, considered the Michael Jordan of bass.

Musique du monde. Septembre 14

La liste des chansons de ce
vendredi 14 septembre, comme tous les jours, est un mosaïque de plus variés mesures et
rythmes de chaque latitude du monde. Nous commençons avec "Chilanga
Banda" du musicien Jaime López, originaire de Tamaulipas, mais chantée par le groupe originaire de Cuidad Satélite à Naucalpan,
Estado de México: CaféTacvba. Après nous avons écouté la chanson "Que
te vaya bien", musique latino-américain du groupe de Tijuana: Saoko. Ensuite, la

la musique moderne et traditionnelle de l’Inde.
Nous avons changé si vite de la
musique mexicaine a la vénézuélienne avec la chanson "Detrás de tu sombra"

Pour terminer la semaine, nous avons eu à
trois personnes très importantes de la musique : le colombien Carlos

musical de la région Caraïbe de la
Colombie) la champeta, le rock, la pop latine et le bambuco. Aussi, nous avons

musicien Victor Wooten, un virtuose de baisse électrique et considéré comme le

World music. September 10.

The music programming today was formed by 18 songs. Esperanza Spalding and her puzzling piece; The Peacocks, was the first song presented. Spalding is an American bass player, singer and Jazz composer, Grammy winner for Best New Artist in 2011 being the first jazz artist to obtain this award. Then the programming continues with Versatile: a classic jazz melody and following with Zamba del forastero.
In our music journey, we visited Argentina to listen to Orillas del Choqueyapu by Ariel Ramirez. It is noteworthy that Ramirez was a composer, a pianist and one of the most prominent figures of the Argentine nativism. He’s author of numerous criollistas and extremely popular songs, Misa Criolla is one of his most important works. Still in Argentina, we listened to Oración del remanso by the Vocal Cabernet group: an Argentine group formed in early 2002. This group focuses on different styles of popular contemporary music such as soul, jazz, pop, tango and folklore. Its principal characteristic is the continuous use of vocal percussion, onomatopoeia and vocals.
We took off from Río de la Plata to land at Veracruz with the jarocho, El Buscapiés by Los Cojolites, who have become one of the emblematic groups of the jarocho renewal. Los Cojolites was formed fifteen years ago as a cultural project dedicated to recover cultural and artistic expressions of the ancient indigenous inhabitants in the municipality of Cosoleacaque. We returned to Buenos Aires to enjoy Tristes Jardines by Jose Martinez. A musician who was known for the nickname: El Gallego, to which he responded: “That is fanciful, I am from Buenos Aires. I bear a Spanish last name but my parents, grandparents and great grandparents were Argentine.”
Leaving from Buenos Aires we arrived to Cariocas’ land to be pleased with Equilibrista by the Brazilian Egberto Gismonti, a well known compositer, pianist and guitarist player, one of the most important contemporary composers in the world covering various musical styles from Brazilian popular music, as well as jazz and classic music.
As the ninth song, we shared Lost Boys Calling by the Italian composer and conductor Ennio Morricone and performed by Roger Waters from Pink Floyd. Morricone is known worldwide for composing the soundtrack of over 500 films and television series. Its compositions have been part of over 20 award-winning films as well as symphonic and choir pieces.
From Italy we continued with Cherokee by Joe Pass, American jazz guitarist who died in Los Angeles, in 1994. Pass was characterized by the use of walking bass, melodic counterpoint while improvisation and his chord melody style. He is one of the most celebrated jazz guitarists, both by critics and by professional musicians.
We also listened to Guty Cardenas from Yucatan, an extraordinary Mexican singer born in 1905. He died at the age of 27, while he was considered a great musical promise. He was shot dead during a fight in a bar, in Bach, Mexico City. After Cardenas we presented Soli by the master of percussion and African dance: Mbemba Bangoura.
Then we put on Indifference by Ray Barreto, a New Jersey musician, percussionist and one of the most prominent composers and performers of Latin jazz. He was born in Puerto Rico and his congas have been heard on hundreds of albums, both of jazz and Latin music.
Presented next, Sparkling in the sand by the band Tower of Power, American funk and soul performers, consisting of sax, metal, bass, drums, guitar, vocals, percussion and keyboards.
Made for Isaac by Stephane Grappelli, a French jazz violinist and considered one of the greatest jazz violinists of the twentieth century. Grappelli, with an Italian father and French mother, at the age of four years was left motherless. At age 12 he began playing the violin on the streets to bring money home. In 1923, at age 15, he began his career as a violinist and pianist in theaters accompanying silent films. Stral Weeks, a song performed by Glen Hansard, the lead singer and guitarist of the Irish rock group The Frames and Marketa Irglova of Czech Republic, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, was another guest.
Today's programming finished with Danzon 1 by Arturo Marquez from Sonora: a renowned Mexican composer, known for using Mexican musical style and incorporate them into their compositions. His danzones are used increasingly for ballet productions worldwide. It is because of such popularity that there is an international music festival named "Arturo Marquez" in Caracas, Venezuela.

La musique du monde. Le septembre 10.
Aujourd’hui une sélection de 18 pièces musicales a formé la programmation musicale. Nous commençons avec Esperanza Spalding et sa chanson déconcertante « The Peacocks ». Spalding est une bassiste américaine, chanteuse et compositrice du jazz ; elle est gagnée le prix Artiste Révélation du Grammy 2011, elle est la première compositrice américaine du jazz qui a gagné ce prix. Après, nous continuons avec la mélodie du jazz classique « Versatile », ensuite avec « Zamba del forastero ».
Après d’Esperanza Spalding nous avons écouté la chanson « Orillas del Choqueyapu » de l’argentin Ariel Ramírez. Il est important remarquer que Ramírez a été compositeur et pianiste, l’une des figures plus remarquable du nativisme argentine. Il est l’auteur des plusieurs chansons créoles et extrêmement populaire, par exemple : « Misa Criolla » l’une de ses chansons plus importantes. Nous continuons avec la musique argentine avec la chanson : « Oración del remanso » du groupe Cabernet Vocal, un groupe argentin formé au début de 2002. Le groupe a différentes styles de la musique populaire contemporaine comme : la musique soul, le jazz, le pop, le tango et la musique folk. Leur principale caractéristique est l’utilisation de percussion vocale, onomatopées et vocalese.
De Río de la Plata, nous allons à Veracruz avec le son jarocho : « El Buscapiés » interprété par : Los Cojolites, l’un des groupes plus emblématiques de la rénovation du son jaracho. Los Cojolites sont nés depuis quinze ans comme une partie d’un projet culturel consacré à récupérer les expressions artistiques et culturelles des anciennes indigènes dans la commune de Cosoleacaque. Nous avons retourné à Buenos Aires avec la chanson : « Tristes jardines » du musicien José Martínez. Il est connu sous le surnom : « El Gallego » mais il pensait : « Ça c’est capricieux, je suis portuaire. J’ai le nom espagnol mais mes parents, grand parents et arrière grand parents étaient argentins ».
Oubliez la musique des villes portuaires, nous avons écouté de la musique de la région brésilienne, ¨Equilibrista¨ de Egberto Gismonti, un important pianiste et guitariste. Il est l’un des plus importants compositeurs contemporains du monde, en recouvrant les différents styles musicaux des la musique populaire brésilienne à le jazz et aussi la musique savante.
Nous avons écoute l´extraordinaire chanteur mexicain Guty Cárdenas, née en 1905 à Yucatán. Qui est décédé à l´âge de 27 ans, quand beaucoup de gens le considèrent comme l´une des grands espoirs dans l'industrie musicale. Il a été assassiné pendant une dispute dans la buvette Bach au District Fédéral de Mexique. Après Cárdenas nous avons écouté ¨Soli¨ de Mbemba Bangoura, le maître de la percussion et danse africaine.
Plus tard, ¨Indiferencia¨ de Ray Barreto, musicien de New Jersey, percussionniste et l’une des plus importants compositeurs et interprète du jazz latin. D´origine portoricain, son congas ont été écouté en centaines de disques, autant de jazz comme de la musique latine.¨Sparkling in the island¨ du groupe Tower of Power, interprètes américains de musique funk et soul, composé par le saxo, le métal, le bass, la batterie, la guitare, la voix, la percussion et le clavier.
¨Made for Issac¨ de Stephane Grappelli, violoniste du jazz français et l’un de plus connus violonistes du jazz du XX siècle. Grappelli, de père italien et mère française, il est devenu orphelin de mère à l´âge de 4 ans. À 12 ans il a commencé à jouer le violon dans la rue pour porter l´argent à la maison. En 1923 à l´âge de 15 ans il commence son métier comme violoniste et pianiste aux cinémas en faisant l´accompagnement des films muets. ¨Stral Weeks¨ chanson interprète par Glen Hansard, qui est chanteur et guitariste irlandais du groupe de rock The Frames; une autre invitée a été Marketa Irglova de la République tchèque, qui est compositeur et multi-instrumentiste.L´édition d´aujourd´hui a conclu avec le ¨Danzón 1¨ du renommé compositeur mexicain de l´état de Sonora, Arturo Márquez, connu pour utiliser et intégrer les éléments et styles musicaux mexicaines a ses œuvres. Ses danzónes sont utilisés aux présentations de ballet autour du monde. C’est la raison de son popularité qui´l y a un festival internationaux de la musique nommé ¨Arturo Márquez¨ à Caracas, Venezuela.

communauté universitaire, c´est une
station qui parle de tu aux ses auditeurs; propose des contenues digérables, intelligentes, distrayantes et importantes ; une
radio capable de générer la puissante
empathie que provoque un sentiment d´appartenance et d´appropriation.
Être l´espace
médiatique alternatif pour ¨réfléchir à voix haute ¨. Atteindre la communauté universitaire dans deux sens, qu´ils
deviennent ceux qui consomment la radio et ceux qui alimentent les contenues de
la programmation, UABC Radio est le moyen de communication avec lequel ils
s´identifient et lequel ils veulent appartenir.
La programmation
musicale d´UABC Radio recherche des genres musicaux contemporains. Nous nous
concentrons en recouvrir les propositions qui sont en état émergent et qui sont
part de la création de courants nécessaires, qui aide à sensibiliser le caractère d´une communauté
universitaire contemporaine.
UABC délimite sa
programmation musicale sur la base d´une temporalité et non sur un genre. En cherchent montrer ça que nous avons
au jour d´hui, le nouveau. Les genres proposés sont : le rock, la pop, le reggae,
le jazz, la musique latino-américaine, la musique ethnique, la musique
électronique, la trova, la musique formelle et les musiques du monde.
UABC Radio donne un
traitement aux problèmes actuels avec le sens-vision universitaire tels que l´environnent, le développement économique, la
construction d’une nouvelle société et les usages d’espaces libres, la
migration, la violence; avec un agenda informatif local avec un traitement profond
et global. L’information est présentée dans les différents genres
journalistiques.
L’UABC Radio permet la diffusion des expressions
esthétiques d’une approche de la culture patrimoine et d’une approche de la
culture symbolique. Au
regard de ce qui précède, dans la radio université il y a des expressions des
beaux arts et des pratiques culturelles et des formes symboliques de la société
de notre époque et de notre environnement géographique immédiate.

development, the construction of a new citizenship and uses of public space,

The information is presented in different journalistic genres.
UABC

the cultural heritage
perspective and from the viewpoint of symbolic culture. Therefore, UABC radio allows
fine arts expressions, cultural practices and symbolic forms of nowadays society
and close geographic
surroundings.
The academic output of teachers,
researchers and students from UABC communicate through journalistic formats and
other entertainment and education genres with the social relevance represented.
UABC Radio helps the listener to understand the usefulness of research and its
results to solve everyday problems.
